Delhi - Leh - Kargil - Rangdom - Padam - Karsha - Pishu - Hanumil - Purfila - Snertse - Hanumala - Lingshad - Foot of Singela - Photoksar - Sirsirla - Hanupatta - Wanla/Shilla - Lamayuru

Day 01: Delhi – Leh

Arrival in Leh, transfer to the Hotel, in the afternoon drive to Shankar and Shanti Stupa. Shankar gompa is couple of kilometers away from leh town. This small Gompa is branch of the Spityk Monastery, founded by the first incarnation of Skyabje Bakula (head monk of Spituk). Shanti stupa inaugurated by Dalai Lama in 1985. Its state of the art work attracts a lot of tourists to Ladakh and is spectacular to watch. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02: Leh

Full day excursion visit to Shey, Theksey & Hemis. It is quite interesting to visit the Thicksey monastery early in the morning to witness the “praying ceremony”. then drive to visit the village of Shey on the eastern bank of the Indus. It has a large victory stupa which is topped with gold. Continuous drive to Hemis monastery which is one of the Famous monasteries of Leh. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03: Leh – Lamayuru – Kargil

After breakfast Leave for Lamayuru monastery via Khaltsi which is the oldest and spectacularly set, Lamayuru monastery was founded in the 10th Century. Rest of the day is to explore the beauty of Kargil. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 04: Kargil – Rangdom - Padam

After breakfast in Kargil drive towards Zanskar valley on the way see Panikar and Parkachan villages view of Nun & Kun peaks. After short drive, stop at Rangdom Gompa. Continue drive to Padam which is the Capital of Zanskar valley. After crossing Tungri bridge visit Sunni Gompa finally we reach Padam in the late afternoon. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 05: Padam – Karsha

After having breakfast in hotel drive towards Piptong then after passing through dusty plain cross Doda river climb and arrive at Karsha 15th century Monastery. Overnight in tents.

Day 06: Karsha – Pishu

An easy and dusty walk after crossing Rinam there is a rock shelter and a small stream (Zanskar river). The longest hanging bridge (55 Mtrs) joining Zangla Gompa can be visited. From Zangla a trail goes to Padam via Zozar and Thongde. Overnight stay in Tents.

Day 07: Pishu – Hanumil

Continuous drive to the left bank of Zanskar river and crossing the morainic plateau after crossing a bridge, Pidmu is reached and after 2 hrs drive reach at Hanumil. Overnight stay in Tents.

Day 08: Hanumil – Purfila – Snertse

After an hour easy path beyond Hanumil it leads upto plateau from Zanskar edge. Then a steep and difficult climb to Purfila 3900 Mtrs. again after a steep and difficult climb of about 1 Km. Overnight stay in Tents.

Day 09: Snertse – Hanumala – Lingshad

Ascent through gorges and then passing a sheep fold. Further 3 hours will take to reach Hanumala (4700 Mtrs). after a Km of steep descent climb along mountain side you reach Lingshad (3800 Mtrs). Overnight in tents.

Day 10: Lingshad – Foot of Singela

After around an hour of easy climb to Margumla (4100 Mtrs), descent along the slope (beautiful landscape), view of Nierang valley. After passing the village of Gongma (3840 Mtrs) and Skiumpata a steep ascent to Kubala (3800 Mtrs). Go on climbing upto the foot of Singela. Overnight in Tents.

Day 11: Foot of Singela – Singela – Photoksar

It takes about 7 to 8 Hrs to reach Photoksar from the pass then a short descent opens out in a board valley. First easy walk then climb the Boumitsela (4200 Mtrs) not arduous. Now descent to photoksar (3750 Mtrs). Overnight in tents.

Day 12: Photoksar – Sirsirla – Hanupatta

From Photoksar after a gentle climb of an hour it takes to a large chorten. Then after a long ascent is Sirsirla last ascent is steep. Now descent to river cross bridge and after passing stony valley arrive at the camp site little before Hanupatta (3450 Mtrs). Overnight in Tents.

Day 13: Hanupatta – Wanla/Shilla

Continue descent across the slop (the path cut into the rock) upto a junction of the rivers chorten and flittering flags on a flat land. After crossing a ridge go down passing through some fallen rocks you arrive at Franjila (3 Hrs). wanla is located on a flat land reached after crossing bridge on the left bank of the river, cross another bridge and arrive at Shilla. Overnight in Tents.

Day 14: Wanla/Shilla – Lamayuru

After passing the village of Shilla go to broad chorten then follow a narrow and dry gorge to reach Prinkitila (3725 Mtrs). Now an hour easy descent after crossing river, Lamayuru village is reached. Visit the Monastery and transfer to Leh by Jeep for Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 15: Leh – Delhi

Transfer in time to the airport to connect onwards flight for Delhi.
